About the Role
Provide support and effective coordination to promote the involvement of young people from various socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and abilities in youth services, Youth Information Centres, and related programs.
This position will be based in Bunjil Place, Narre Warren, and at Youth Information Centres
What You’ll deliver
- Manage scheduling, bookings, and logistics for Youth Information Centres, outreach programs, Youth Services Van and relevant events.
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and reporting systems for youth participation, program outcomes, and resource allocation.
- Prepare correspondence, agendas, minutes, and documentation for meetings and events.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Youth Services teams, in the Youth Information Centres when required and Council’s internal departments, community and partner agencies to ensure the implementation of appropriate youth programs, activities and communications across the municipality.
- Support the dissemination of promotional materials and information about youth programs and services
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in an administrative role
- Advanced skills in MS Office packages including excel and TechOne, One Council or similar.
- Exceptional communication skills, including written, verbal, and active listening, with the ability to adapt style and approach to meet customer needs.
- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated ability interact effectively across multiple teams.
- Proven ability to take initiative to progress own work and identify resources needed to complete allocated work tasks.
- Qualifications in Community Services, Youth Work or similar disciplinary are beneficial.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background checks including National Criminal History Check, Working with Children Check, Eligibility to Work check
