St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2024. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site.  As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12).  St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.

A permanent full time position commencing 31 January 2025. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our K-12 College and required to organise the College's daily teaching staff and casuals, and work with the Senior Leadership team and Curriculum leaders to prepare the teaching timetable, examination schedules and staff duty rosters.

The Administration & Events Coordinator exists to support the Principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students, and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate you are an effective educator who:

  • Gives witness to the faith and contributes to the Catholic life and culture of the school community
  • Has a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning informed by data
  • Has highly analytical and well developed organisational and procedural skills in the oversight of school organisation, events, excursions and routines
  • Possesses a detailed understanding of the Edval Timetabling package, as well as the Compass student management system.
  • Leads change and improvement to enhance learning for all students as well as being able to deal with multiple conflicting and time sensitive demands.

The following GENERAL CAPABILITIES are applicable to the role:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • A detailed understanding of the Edval Timetabling package, as well as Compass student management system.
  • Ability to teach in at least one KLA to HSC level.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Level D Accreditation  in accordance with ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong’ policy.
  • Level C Accreditation  in accordance with ‘Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong’ policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.
  • NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.
