St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing P-12 school with a student population exceeding 1200 students in 2022 (K-12). The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the college is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8) and Senior Years Learning (9-12).

A number of permanent/temporary full time and part time positions are available commencing 31 January 2025 until 19 December 2025. The successful applicants will be required to teach one of the following subjects: English, Religious Education, Science, Mathematics, HSIE and PD/H/PE. Please specify in your cover letter, if you are interested in permanent or temporary and full time or part time employment. The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in KLA(s).
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.

GENERAL CAPABILITIES

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment  with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
