This position works under the direction of Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong's (CEDoW) Team Leader - Workplace Safety and Wellbeing within the People and Culture (PaC) service area.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Workplace Safety and Wellbeing team is a dynamic and energetic team that contributes to the broader People and Culture service area through the design and delivery of a comprehensive workplace safety and wellbeing framework. The role requires an understanding and commitment to support the mission of Catholic Education within the evangelising mission of the Church.
KEY FUNCTIONS

Monitoring, triaging, and actioning the Work, Health, and Safety inbox

Initial point of contact via email/phone and follow up for staff notification/injury management and health and wellbeing enquiries

Workers Compensation claims administration and first point of contact liaison with CEDoW's worker's compensation insurer.

Preparing and submitting wage reimbursement schedules for worker's compensation claims and reconciling payments
-
Preparation of worker's compensation pay sheets and pay adjustments
-
Capacity to interpret legislation around basic worker's compensation and return to work requirements

Capacity to interpret Enterprise Agreements particular to Education
SELECTION CRITERIA
The successful candidate will be someone who has:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in G Suite applications (including Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Forms).

Demonstrated capacity to utilise internal operational computer systems - Compass, SOLV, ClickUp, etc
-
Strong knowledge of administrative practices and document/records management.

Excellent planning and organisation skills, forward-thinking and initiative, and a highly proactive manner.

A high level of confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgement.

Confidence and professionalism in interpersonal and relationship management, and the ability to engage professionally with a range of stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum Certificate IV in administration or similar.
-
At least 5 years experience working in the field of administration.

Payroll/Finance/Worker’s Compensation administration experience preferred but not essential
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE
This role is classified as child-related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed before your commencement with us.
