St Francis Catholic College is committed to ensuring the very best results and outcomes for all of its students. We are currently seeking passionate and conscientious casual tutors who excelled in their recent Higher School Certificate.  Specific subject areas may include: 

  • Mathematics
  • English
  • Studies of Religion
  • And/or other specific KLA/Subjects - depending on the applicant

The successful candidates will be working as a casual from 20 April 2026 until 9 October 2026 (dates may vary) with flexible work hours (minimum 4 hours per week) to assist Stage 6 students, typically after school hours in small group settings.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of students' diverse needs to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement an effective tutoring program.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.
  • Highly Reliable.
  • Efficient time management skills.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Recent HSC Completion with an ATAR of 85.00+and Band 6/E4 performance in one or more courses.

GENERAL CAPABILITIES

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN'S CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
