Diversity and Wellbeing Leader (2 point coordinator)

About the opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Full-Time Temporary Diversity and Wellbeing Leader (2-point acting coordinator) to join our school community at St Paul the Apostle Winston Hills. The successful person will work with our dynamic teaching team and have a clear and shared focus on enhancing the learning of all students. The temporary position is for Terms 3 and 4 2025 to start as soon as possible. This position will equate to a 3-day teaching load (to be determined) and a 2-day diversity and wellbeing load.

  • Assisting the classroom teachers in identifying and prioritising vulnerable students

  • Implementing Case Management processes and following up with teachers to ensure the execution of suggested strategies.

  • Working with teachers to develop strategies and adjustments to populate Personalised Plans (PPs) and moderate the process across the school.

  • Liaising with school counsellors, outside agencies, teachers, parents, and carers.

  • Coordinating a Stage Team (tbc), Learning Support Team and Student Learning Support Officers.

  • Designing and implementing school-based behaviour plans for Tier 2 students and risk management behaviour plans for Tier 3 students.

  • Work collaboratively to plan and implement school programs with a diversity perspective.

  • Implement the school's Wellbeing SIP, and the implementation of MTSS/PBS4L strategies.

Qualifications and accreditations:

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance

  • Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)

  • Tertiary Qualification in Education/Teaching
    Statements of Service

  • Experience in Learning Support will be a distinct advantage
