Are you passionate about doing the right thing and helping others do the same?
We’re looking for a confident, insightful, and people-focused Employee Relations Business Partner to join our HR team in a role where you can make a genuine difference.
Whether you're already in a specialist ER position or an experienced HRBP or HR Generalist looking to move into a more ER-focused role, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career while making an impact.
This isn’t just about managing ER cases; it’s about seeing the bigger picture. You'll play a key role in identifying trends and patterns in people data, spotting issues early, and helping the business stay ahead of the curve. Your insights will shape more innovative ways of working, inform strategic decisions, and help drive a healthier, more engaged workplace.
You’ll be the trusted voice supporting leaders through complex and sometimes sensitive people matters, from absence, performance, and conflict resolution to disciplinaries and grievances. But more importantly, you’ll upskill managers to handle issues early, manage conflict constructively, and resolve concerns before they escalate.
You’ll also be expected to keep your knowledge of employment law and legislation up to date, monitor changes, understand their impact, and ensure both policies and practices remain compliant and forward-thinking. You’ll play a vital role in translating legal developments into practical, people-first solutions across the business.
This is a varied and rewarding role. One day, you might lead a complex investigation or prepare for a tribunal; the next, you could be rewriting a key policy, delivering a training session, or influencing senior stakeholders on how we evolve our approach to ER. You’ll also be instrumental in delivering our ‘Respect at Work’ programme and supporting a culture where everyone feels supported, respected, and treated fairly.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll need a strong foundation in HR and a solid understanding of UK employment law – whether that’s through hands-on ER experience or from a broader HRBP/generalist role. Ideally, you’ll have a degree in HR or Employment Law (or equivalent experience) and CIPD Level 5 or above (or working towards it).
But just as important is your ability to influence, coach, and bring people with you. You’ll be proactive, pragmatic, and passionate about doing the right thing for our people and the business.
Why join us?
You’ll be part of a supportive and progressive HR team in a company that genuinely values its people. Based at our Gaydon HQ, you’ll enjoy a hybrid working pattern, with a half day on Fridays and the flexibility to manage your week effectively.
Ready to take the next step in your HR career? Apply now to join a team shaping a fairer, more forward-thinking workplace.
