About the role

At Aston Martin, every detail matters. Our Cost Engineering team plays a vital role in shaping vehicles that balance beauty, performance, and value. As a Cost Engineer, you’ll support new and existing vehicle projects by providing accurate cost analysis and insight. Your work will directly influence design and engineering decisions, helping us deliver world-class cars in the most effective way possible.

What you’ll do

• Support competitor benchmarking and tear-down studies.
• Produce detailed cost calculations for parts and tooling.
• Support Engineering teams to refine designs for efficient manufacturing.
• Compare target costs with supplier quotations to identify gaps and opportunities.
• Work with Procurement colleagues when evaluating supplier quotes.
• Keep cost data accurate and up to date throughout product development.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have a strong foundation in engineering, ideally from a quality or manufacturing background, and a broad knowledge of how components are designed and manufactured. A good understanding of vehicle systems and architecture is important, as is the ability to read technical drawings and work confidently with CAD review tools such as Teamcenter and VIS Mockup.

On the practical side, you’ll be highly proficient with IT, especially Microsoft Office, and comfortable handling data with accuracy – advanced Excel skills would be a real advantage. You’ll combine excellent analytical and numerical ability with clear communication skills, both written and verbal. Most importantly, you’ll be collaborative, eager to learn, and motivated by finding smart, effective solutions.
