Test Engineer Team Leader - Mechanical

We are seeking a Test Engineer Team Leader (Mechanical) to join our World Championship- Winning Team here at Brixworth. The Test Engineering Team Leader will lead and develop their team of Test Engineers who in turn have the responsibility to provide a representative testing platform for all in house testing of the Power Unit and its associated Sub Systems. You will also be responsible for delivering outstanding ‘right first time’ mechanical engineering solutions across all test platforms including auxiliary rigs, steady state dynos and transient dynos.

If you're successful in this role, you'll…

  • Drive the Mechanical Test Engineering Team to deliver test solutions that provide repeatability and accuracy as required by the customers – Product Engineering, Performance Engineering & Product Validation
  • Lead & develop a team of highly skilled Engineers specialising in the mechanical integration of PU’s on world class test facilities
  • Develop and challenge the engineering team to provide continuous improvement to all testing platforms and ensure any PU hardware is being tested in an environment that simulates the track
  • Develop the best test engineering solutions in line with ‘Right first time’ approach to increase on - track performance

Have experience of…

  • Delivering mechanical engineering solutions of engine components or engine test platforms
  • Developing test facilities to a high standard (strong)
  • Working successfully with a broad range of highly specialised stakeholders – Engineering Customers, Suppliers, Technicians & Programme Management

Hold these qualifications…

  • Degree in a relevant engineering subject
  • Post graduate degree in engineering/project/business related subject (E.g. MSc, MBA) - preferable
