Engineering Trainee - Product Confirmation
We have an entry level role in our Product Confirmation team, the feeder area to working trackside as an engineer!
Purpose of the role is to…
• Proactively drive the improvement and evolution of the software used for subcomponent testing.
• Be responsible for analysing data generated during testing of subcomponents of an F1 powertrain, use this data to assess their heath and performance, generate and distribute reports of these findings to the wider business.
• Build a foundational understanding the F1 powertrain subsystems.

Be skilled at… • Producing high quality MATLAB code
• Working in a multi-functional team
• Conducting in-depth scrutiny under time pressure
• Performing critical review of data
Hold these qualifications… • Degree with 2:1 classification or above in a relevant subject
(e.g. Software, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics etc.)
Be… • Highly proactive and engaging, capable of chasing information around the business.
• Meticulous and focussed with great attention to detail, especially regarding data analysis
• A decisive thinker who’s able to understand Programme requirements quickly and accurately
• Determined and committed
Success in this role will be if you…
• Support and develop the sub systems hardware pass off tests and data review to ensure that there are no failures at track
• Improve efficiency through updating of software tool and process
• Interact closely with Product Engineering, Build and Programme Management to report directly to the Chief Engineer on the condition and suitability of the hardware and PU’s for their allocated usage
• Challenge and assist Product Engineering during failure investigation processes

***This is a 12 month fixed term contract, offering £33,000, bonus and 36 days annual leave (we do have summer shutdown and Christmas shutdowns)***
