Your Opportunity
IGO are looking for a qualified Maintenance Technician to join our Forrestania care and maintenance team. This role will see you working in a small maintenance team to safely deliver all the day-to-day care and maintenance mechanical work execution and completion within the operational maintenance team.
We are seeking candidates who will enjoy working closely in a small team and can bring a flexible approach to work and getting the job done. Being a care and maintenance site, this role will require you to support your small team. The role will be offered on a permanent FIFO/DIDO basis (Ex-Perth) working an 8:6 roster.
Key accountabilities include:
- Ensure RO operation, dewatering and wastewater systems are monitored and prioritised.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and used within the manufacturer’s specifications.
- Carry out maintenance activities on fixed plant equipment to ensure service meets the requirements of the business units.
- Lead compliance with company objectives, policies, procedures, safe work practices, and relevant Acts and Regulations.
- Acts to promote a friendly climate, good morale, and co-operation within the team.
Your Experience
Along with an engaging communication style and pro-active attitude, you must be a team player and bring the following skills:
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Trade
- Confined Space ticket
- Working at heights ticket
- Forklift licence
- EWP licence
- Rigging or dogging licence
- Poly pipe electrofusion and butt welding
- Current (MR or HR) driver’s licence
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Office applications (Word/ Excel/ Outlook)
- Current ‘C’ Class Manual Driver’s Licence
- Senior First Aid
- Valid C Class Manual Driver’s Licence (essential); and,
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
