Job Description

The Broad-Based Campaign Manager is a member of the Annual Giving team and assists in the planning and implementation for all broad-based campaign types such as direct mail, email, SMS, crowdfunding, and digital micro campaigns, student organization fundraising, or other personal digital outreach to achieve donor growth goals. As a member of the Annual Giving team, this role has high visibility with the colleges and units serving as a unit liaison to assist the unit in achieving alumni participation goals. The Broad-Based Campaign Manager collaborates with teammates and cross-functional colleagues to carry out the designated duties and responsibilities for the university's annual giving program focusing on long-term, multi-year objectives for growing revenue and participation of alumni donors.

The Broad-Based Campaign Manager is a strong, individual contributor who works collaboratively to determine strategy in order to deliver on project and annual fundraising goals. This role collaborates with the Associate Director, Broad-Based Campaigns to set strategy for all annual giving campaign channels and solicitations to successfully retain, reactivate, and acquire new alumni donors.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, marketing or comparable field and/or the equivalent level of training and experience.

Progressive experience in fundraising, nonprofits, or marketing.

Demonstrated experience simultaneously executing multiple deliverables with differing timelines.

Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills to quickly and accurately evaluate fundraising campaign effectiveness.

Demonstrated communication skills with an emphasis on interpersonal communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience with digital or crowdfunding platforms.

Demonstrated understanding of direct mail and digital fundraising technologies and best practices.

Demonstrated knowledge of CRM solutions such as Blackbaud CRM.

Demonstrated familiarity of direct response marketing, digital marketing, email, SMS, social media/digital advertisement or other emerging fundraising practices.

Demonstrated experience managing projects from ideation to implementation to analysis.

Demonstrated experience working both independently and effectively across teams to achieve a common goal.

Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel and Teams.

Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills while working in a fast-paced, rapid-change environment.

Detail oriented with proficiency in project management fundamentals.
