Job Description

Office Assistant provides administrative support and serves as backup support to the staff and projects related to the Mail Operations Unit within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Responsibilities include data processing, mail support, assisting with email correspondence, and recruitment mailings. On occasion, provides customer service support to front office staff by answering phones and serving as a resource for prospective students and families.

Required Qualifications

Previous administrative support experience in a professional office environment. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Proficient in working within a team environment as well as the ability to work independently. Must be dependable, organized and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong computing skills and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general office practices and procedures. Willing to learn and abide by U.S. Postal Service rules and regulations is essential. Must be able to safely move and handle items weighing up to 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

*Experience responding to email correspondence in a professional business setting.
*High school diploma or equivalent credentials.
