The Assistant Director / Football Coaching Video is responsible for assisting the Sr. Director / Football Coaching Video in managing all aspects of video operations & technology within Virginia Tech’s football program. This position will coordinate with their supervisor on the creation & implementation of all workflows related to providing the football staff with practice & game film, opponent game film, all audio/visual needs & all other technological needs. This position will also assist with recruiting events, assist in the hiring, training & supervision of all student workers.
This position reports directly to the Sr. Director / Football Coaching Video. This role is responsible for adhering to all department & university policies & procedures, as well as the rules, regulations, bylaws & interpretations of the Atlantic Coast Conference [ACC] & National Collegiate Athletic Association [NCAA].
Bachelor's degree in a related field with relevant experience, or a Master's degree.
Demonstrated video experience at a collegiate or professional level.
Experience setting up & troubleshooting audio/visual equipment.
Experience operating digital editing systems, video cameras & recording equipment.
Experience with sports video analysis software, such as Catapult, PFF, DVSport &/or Hudl.
Excellent communication, interpersonal & organizational skills necessary.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within demanding timeframes.
Attention to detail & the ability to work under pressure.
Ability to use discretion & maintain all confidentiality.
Previous experience in a similar role within an NCAA Division I college football program or professional football program.
Basic experience utilizing Premiere Pro.
Experience utilizing DVSport In-Game Video Systems
Working knowledge of NCAA rules & regulations related to video operations.
Exempt: Not eligible for overtime
$44,000 to $50,000 commensurate with experience.
40+. Nights and weekends as needed.
