Job Description

The Tire Test and Surface Technician is responsible for supporting testing on electrohydraulic test equipment for tire characterization through preparation of test specimens and surfaces. Position involves providing support and test plan execution, surface support, and maintenance .

Required Qualifications

High School, Trades School, associate’s degree, desire to learn
Ability to lift 50 pounds safely.
Proficient use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals and sharp tools such as blades, scrapers, and cutters.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures precisely.

Preferred Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude
Problem solving related to mechanical systems
Problem solving related to controls systems
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team skills
Ability to interpret drawings and schematics
Experience in industrial or heavy equipment environments using LTRe systems
Experience in a laboratory supporting testing, specimen handling, surface support and equipment maintenance

Additional Information

This position is unable to support work Visas. The work site location is in Alton, VA.
