We are seeking an experienced Project Safety Manager to join our Operations team on our Mulgoa Road project in Western Sydney.

Mulgoa Road Alliance is delivering improvements to road safety and the M4 exit ramps, as part of the Mulgoa Road upgrade in Penrith, Sydney. The main access route from Penrith to the M4 Motorway in Sydney’s west – is undergoing a major enhancement as part of a 6.5-kilometer road corridor upgrade to connect the Penrith community, including its central business district, with other parts of greater Sydney.

About the role:

  • Mentor and guide all site personnel to ensure a high standard of workplace health and safety on Site.
  • Conduct site inspections/audits and provide feedback including associated recommendations to project personnel and corporate managers as necessary.
  • Assess risks and opportunities for improving Safety Management.
  • Assist Project Managers in managing workplace health and safety on project sites.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of systems, plans, procedures, and strategies. and
  • Ensure compliance with company, government, and client legislation, plans, standards, and specifications.
  • Manage project related Injury Rehabilitation and Return to Work issues.
  • Report information accurately and promptly and contribute to developing solutions for relevant issues.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Diploma qualification in OHS or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction in Safety roles.
  • Previous experience leading teams or in a management role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current C-Class Driver’s License.

Many of our projects are located in regional areas. Therefore, all applicants must hold a current Driver’s License and have their own transport.
