We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Estimator to join our corporate team at our head office in Eight Mile Plains. This is an opportunity to contribute to a successful and sustainable future, working on civil engineering & defence infrastructure projects.

Seymour Whyte has successfully executed a diversification strategy, significantly expanding our focus to include defence-related infrastructure projects. Backed by VINCI, one of the world’s largest construction companies, we are looking to strengthen our team to meet the growing demand.

Our Estimating team boasts a high Expression of Interest (EOI) and Tender conversion rate, securing compelling and intricate projects for delivery. As an Estimator with us, you'll engage in a diverse array of tenders for national clients, nurturing a wealth of experiences and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct material take-offs and develop cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects including defence works.
  • Secure competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring project alignment.
  • Collaborate with design managers and project programmers on budget and resource planning.
  • Prepare pricing and tender documents and provide financial forecasts and risk assessments.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar related qualifications.
  • Experience using Expert Estimation.
  • Demonstrated experience in Civil Engineering Infrastructure.
  • Experience in Defence-related infrastructure projects and an understanding of government standards would be desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Possession of a valid C-Class Driver’s License.
