Upper South Creek Network Project – Supporting Western Sydney’s Growth!

Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to support the procurement process and provide technical assistance across key USCN project deliverables.

In this role, you’ll work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure procurement activities run smoothly and efficiently, while fostering strong relationships with suppliers and maintaining robust sourcing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of work packages and help identify key vendors for bids and tenders.
  • Read and interpret technical specifications to support procurement needs.
  • Negotiate and maintain competitive pricing from suppliers on a regular basis.
  • Prepare vendor analysis sheets to compare pricing and commercial offerings.
  • Maintain supplier contact details and keep the Subcontractor Management System up to date.
  • Administer vendor management and sourcing system effectively.
  • Recommend and negotiate with reliable sources of existing and new supply.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Assess and advise on commercial risks and opportunities during procurement processes.
  • Support document control functions related to procurement activities.
  • Assist project teams with developing procurement plans in line with policies.

About you:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities.
  • Confident interpreting technical documents and specifications.
  • Proficient in procurement and vendor management systems.
  • Comfortable managing supplier relationships and providing commercial insight.
  • Team-focused with a proactive and solutions-driven attitude.
