Seymour Whyte is looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator for a civil engineering project in Brisbane’s northern suburbs.
The project will run for approximately 18 months, finishing at the back end of 2026. We are looking for driven individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality results and enjoy working as part of a high-performing operations team.

About the role:
- Provide accurate and timely contract administration services to support the management, control and reporting of project costs
- Support the administration of subcontractor and supplier agreements from procurement through to close out.
- Ensure all documentation pertaining to subcontractor scopes of work is completed accurately to minimise variation claims.
- Review subcontract agreements, including standard and special conditions relevant to the specific trades, and ensure statutory requirements are being met.
- Process subcontractor payments, including assessment of works completed, valuation of variations, processing of back charges, monitoring and evaluating site instructions and monitoring issue of payments.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
- Relevant formal qualifications (Diploma/Certificate in Financial or commercial administration) or significant experience in commercial/contracts administration in a principal contractor environment.
- Experience with and understanding of the Company's procurement and commercial processes and procedures.
- Demonstrated understanding of client head contract documents and relevant legislation.
- Sound negotiation skills.
- Superior interpersonal skills to communicate with a wide variety of people.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
