  • Use your talent acquisition skills to support major infrastructure projects across Australia
  • We are experiencing significant growth – it's an ideal time to join our team
  • Corporate health insurance discounts, income protection & seasonal vaccinations

We are a successful civil contracting business who has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.

We're growing – and so is our team!

Seymour Whyte is expanding, and with exciting new projects kicking off across the country, we’re looking for a passionate Talent Acquisition Specialist to join us at a time of growth, diversification, and opportunity.

If you’ve got 2–3 years’ experience in internal or agency recruitment, with a background in construction or engineering, this could be the perfect step in your career. Full training and support will be provided for the right candidate — so if you’ve got the drive and curiosity to learn, we want to hear from you!

Why join us?

As a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Seymour Whyte, you’ll be part of a close-knit, high-performing team that supports the business in attracting top talent for both current project needs and future opportunities. We provide recruitment support across Australia, playing a vital role in the mobilisation of major infrastructure projects — from pre-contracts and operations to corporate functions. This means your work will be varied, meaningful, and never boring.

 What you’ll be doing:

  • Partner with hiring managers to understand resourcing needs and plan ahead
  • Craft compelling job ads and source candidates via Seek, LinkedIn and networks
  • Proactively build pipelines of top talent – including reaching out to passive candidates
  • Provide end-to-end candidate care, from first contact to contract
  • Maintain accurate records and keep our recruitment system humming
  • Support workforce planning strategies and promote diversity, social procurement, and inclusion
  • Help us build long-term relationships with universities, and industry partners
  • Keep candidates engaged and informed right up to day one!

 About you:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in recruitment (internal or agency)
  • Background in construction or engineering recruitment
  • Great communicator with strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Organised, adaptable, and ready to manage multiple priorities
  • You love the pace of high-volume recruitment and enjoy working in a team
  • Familiar with recruitment systems like PageUp (or keen to learn)
  • Passionate about delivering a great candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Curious, collaborative and always up for a challenge

 What’s in it for you?

  • A supportive team and full training for the right person
  • A chance to work on iconic infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to recruitment for roles that shape Australia
  • A people-first culture where you can grow and thrive

Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.

Seymour Whyte is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and we encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds, including veterans. Our commitment to an equitable construction industry extends to an inclusive culture that embraces our differences and gives everyone the opportunity to grow and be equally valued. We're unified in our direction toward having a workplace that is balanced and fair for all.
