Upper South Creek Network Project – Supporting Western Sydney’s Growth!

Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Seymour Whyte and Jacobs, awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Client-side management of delivery contractors, combining technical knowledge with relationship building
  • Provide technical environmental and legal advice across Aboriginal heritage, biodiversity, contamination, pollution, water, air and noise
  • Undertake audits, inspections and compliance monitoring
  • Identify, assess and manage environmental risks on projects and operations
  • Review contractors’ environmental documentation and provide feedback to meet client requirements
  • Support environmental incident investigations and notifications
  • Deliver mentoring, training, toolboxes and workshops for contractors and stakeholders

 

Your key qualities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, management or related field
  • 5–10 years’ environmental experience, ideally in a client-side role within construction or water/wastewater
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulations and site management practices
  • Experience managing compliance of multiple construction contractors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Current NSW driver’s licence
  • Experience on Sydney Water projects advantageous

Many of our projects are located in some regional and hard to access areas with limited or no public transport, so all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
