Mater Research are looking for an Administration Officer to join the team! This full-time, maximum term (October 2025 to 30 June 2028) role will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

As an Administration Officer at Mater, you will contribute to the Queensland eConsultant (QeC) Service by supporting QeC project operations, coordinating research activities, collecting and managing data, and helping to prepare publications and presentations. Your work will play a key role in generating evidence that informs practice and policy, helping Mater to achieve better outcomes for patients across Queensland.

Salary range: $41.47 - $44.69 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900  + access to many staff benefits! 

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide exceptional front line customer service via email or telephone to all GPs and Mater staff.
  • Provide telephone support both external and internal enquiries.
  • Ensure accurate patient records in Mater’s patient administration system.
  • Perform registrations, bookings and invoicing for QeC occasions of service.
  • Create, prepare and manage QeC records to ensure safe keeping of clinical documents and timely scanning.
  • Filing, faxing, scanning, photocopying and other clerical support tasks.
  • High level understanding of patient and record privacy legislation and Mater’s policy regarding disclosure.
  • Assist in the preparation of project progress reports
  • Assisting with database management and data input
  • Actively participate in supporting a collaborative team culture.

About you

  • Experience in a health care environment highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in an agile and fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Capable with digital tools and platforms, able to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation and processes.
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage changing priorities.
