Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in maintaining safe, welcoming environments? BaptistCare Yallambee Village in beautiful Mundaring is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our Retirement Living team.

About the Role:
As our Maintenance Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the village remains safe, functional, and pleasant for residents and staff. Reporting to the Manager Retirement Living, you’ll work closely with the property team to deliver high-quality maintenance services. This role is Part Time 30 hours per week. Though the preference is for the 30 hours to be worked across 5 days , there can also be flexibility considered. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks (e.g., replacing light globes, fixing railings, minor repairs)
• Grounds upkeep and gardening .
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds
• Liaise with contractors and ensure compliance with safety protocols
• Maintain accurate records using our maintenance management system
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents

About You:
To be considered, you will have:
• Previous experience in property maintenance or a similar role
• Ability to communicate well and respectfully with people from all walks of life
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Commitment to Baptistcare’s values of Togetherness, Respect, Accountability, Caring, and Integrity
• Comfortable working with Microsoft office and online ticketing systems.
• A valid driver’s licence and the right to work in Australia
