North Idaho College is looking for a detail-obsessed, number-savvy professional to join our team as a Senior Payroll Specialist! If you take pride in accuracy, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a knack for solving puzzles (the payroll kind, of course), this could be the perfect fit.
In this role, you’ll handle multi-state payroll for over 1,000 employees, ensure timely and accurate paychecks, and manage payroll-related reporting, deductions, compliance, and benefits reconciliation—all while working with a supportive finance team. You’ll be the go-to expert for payroll questions, tax filings, and system testing, and will help train others on payroll tools and processes. Your work will keep things humming behind the scenes, so your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality are key.
We’re looking for someone with extensive knowledge of payroll practices, top-notch communication skills, and solid knowledge of accounting principles. You should be comfortable navigating HRIS systems, juggling deadlines, and taking ownership of your work from start to finish.
