Job Summary/Basic Function:

Are you looking for meaningful work that keeps you active while contributing to our beautiful campus? Lake Superior State University's Facilities Management team is seeking enthusiastic Student Grounds Workers for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.

Responsibilities will include lawn care, landscaping maintenance, snow removal, leaf management, and general outdoor facility upkeep. You'll work with professional equipment while learning valuable skills in grounds maintenance and landscape management.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled LSSU students

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Physical capability to perform manual labor and operate grounds equipment

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous grounds/landscaping experience preferred but not required

Physical Demands:

Some Heavy lifting is required (50 lbs. or more)

Snow removal and shoveling will be required in the winter months

Work Hours: 

Monday - Friday; Up to 19 hours a week with flexible scheduling
