Job Summary/Basic Function:

Are you a hands-on learner looking to gain valuable trade skills while earning money during the school year? Lake Superior State University's Facilities Management team is seeking motivated student workers for our Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.

As a Student Worker in Trades, you'll work alongside experienced professionals maintaining our beautiful campus. Your responsibilities will include assisting the Trades department with maintenance and construction services for assigned buildings around campus.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled LSSU student

Self-motivated individuals who enjoy problem-solving

Interest in developing practical trades skills

Strong work ethic and attention to safety

Physical Demands:

Some heavy lifting may be required (50 lbs. or more)

Occasional outdoor work during the winter months

Work Hours: 

Monday - Friday; Work up to 19 hours a week with flexible scheduling.
