Job Summary/Basic Function:

Technicians will assist with the daily operations of the CFRE Fish Hatchery, including hatchery operations and field and lab research as needed. Routine hatchery operations including culture of Atlantic salmon, care of lake sturgeon, and general maintenance and cleaning. Students also will assist with sea lamprey control, other aquatic ecology projects and fisheries surveys in the St. Mary’s River and provide tours of the CFRE Fish Hatchery.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have a passport or enhanced driver’s licenses, good driving record. Applicants may be subject to a background check. Students with Federal Work Study eligibility are encouraged to apply.
