Job Summary/Basic Function:

The Norris Center Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons using the aquatic facilities. This position involves constant surveillance of the pool area, enforcing facility rules, preventing accidents, and responding quickly and effectively to emergencies. Lifeguards maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by performing routine safety checks, assisting patrons with questions or concerns, and supporting overall aquatic operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, quick decision-making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
