The Opportunity
Play a key role in strengthening digital and cyber awareness across the University by supporting the delivery of service assurance initiatives. In this role, you’ll conduct research, analyse data, and develop targeted strategies to enhance education and awareness programs. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll design and deliver engaging initiatives, refine existing programs, and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure alignment with emerging threats and compliance requirements. You’ll also partner across the University to identify risks, assess vulnerabilities, and implement practical strategies to strengthen cyber security capability.

You will
- Support Service delivery of change to the University, driving appropriate cyber security and service assurance initiative awareness, communications, and training;
- Contribute to the reduction of risks such as cyber risk, associated with staff, students and other stakeholders through the development and delivery of service-related awareness and education;
- Design and implement targeted cyber security and service assurance education and awareness programs and exercises including developing communications, training content, and delivering targeted workshops; and
- Collaborate with various teams and key stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that the education and awareness programs address various types of risk and meet relevant compliance requirements.
About you
You bring a strong understanding of cyber security best practices, emerging threats, and key policy frameworks, with a proven ability to translate complex concepts into clear, engaging content across print, digital, and social channels. A confident and collaborative communicator, you connect easily with diverse audiences and tailor messaging to suit varying levels of technical understanding. You are detail-oriented and insights-driven, with the ability to gather and analyse stakeholder feedback, using data to continuously refine campaigns and measure impact. With excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, you engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Highly organised and adaptable, you excel at managing multiple priorities, delivering high-quality outcomes on time in a fast-paced environment.
You will possess:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in education with at least four years subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, experience and expertise in developing and delivering digital training, including cyber security education and awareness programs;
- Sound knowledge of cyber security best practices, current security threats, common security policy elements and standards;
- Ability to conduct research and create content, for a variety of communications channels such as print, digital, online, and social media;
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey information clearly to broad audiences with varying degrees of technical experience;
- Ability to gather and analyse stakeholder feedback on content and campaigns, including collating and interpreting data and producing reports;
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively present to all levels of the organisation; and
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work across multiple concurrent projects to achieve successful outcomes.
