About the role:

This is a unique permanent opportunity for a Senior Technical BA ideally with previous experience delivering large insurance programs. Previous Suncorp experience and/or Mainframe systems knowledge is highly preferrable.

You will work with the Product Owner and delivery squad to define and document business requirements and provide progress updates and raise risks/issues to Scrum Masters/Delivery Leads.

You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 290 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing. You will support projects being delivered in a continuous delivery model (Agile) as well as initiatives using traditional project delivery models.

What you’ll do:

• Run Discovery workshops to elicit detailed requirements from business and technical stakeholders
• Translate high level business requirements into technical requirements for delivery squad

• Engage with stakeholders across multiple dependent teams to provide and clarify business requirements and support technical delivery outcomes.

• Support the squad through Delivery
• Create epics/stories in Jira per squad ways of working
• Support Delivery Manager with risk/compliance/procurement
• Map the technical requirements to the deliverables of other project squads.
• Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
• Suncorp offers a hybrid way of working where you will be expected to be in the office approx. 2 days per week.

What you’ll bring:

• ESSENTIAL: Minimum 4 years’ business analysis experience from a large organisation working on significant transformation programs
• Experience in delivering large insurance programs; ideally previous experience with Suncorp and/or Mainframe systems knowledge is highly preferrable.

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating across multiple squads, team members and key stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to facilitate walkthrough and elaboration sessions as needed.

• Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation
• Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders internally and externally.
• Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference
