Policy Operations Consultant

We’re looking for a Policy Operations Consultant to join our highly engaged team. In this role, you’ll deliver outstanding service to customers, intermediaries, and colleagues by processing policies and resolving queries with accuracy, efficiency, and care.

This is a hybrid role – you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home and the office on designated days.

What you’ll do

• Process policy transactions including new business, renewals, endorsements & cancellations.
• Accurately manage policy & client changes across multiple channels (email, phone, written, face-to-face).
• Liaise with customers & intermediaries to resolve queries or transaction issues.
• Apply underwriting authority in line with guidance & compliance requirements.
• Support the team with training, audits, and other operational tasks as required.
• Take ownership of your own learning & development, while contributing to team success.
• Champion health & safety responsibilities relevant to your role.

What you’ll bring

• Previous operational or administrative experience in the insurance industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience handling escalated queries.
• Solid computer literacy including MS Word, Excel & database systems.
• Strong organisational & time management skills to deliver accurate, high-volume work.
• Knowledge of the general insurance market.
• Excellent communication & relationship-building skills.
• Ideally 5+ years’ Commercial General Insurance experience & ANZIIF qualifications (or working towards).
