The Role

This position works across a range of healthcare settings in Hospitals North providing facilitation, co-ordination, teaching, mentoring and guidance for learners engaged in programs or activities of learning, professional development and defined learning pathways in the application, translation and evaluation of learning outcomes and requirements in a defined area/s of clinical practice.

  • Contributes to professional development activities by teaching and assessing theory to practice components as applies to nursing practice.
  • Collaborates with nursing and multidisciplinary stakeholders to co-ordinate and facilitate learning and professional development activities in practice settings, aligned to professional development plans and organisation strategic priorities.
  • Leads safe and quality nursing care through the advancement of evidenced based nursing practice in an area of clinical and professional speciality within a lifelong learning and development framework.

Details of Appointments

Multiple fixed term full time and part time, shift worker (not working weekends but working public holidays) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 16 February 2026 until 18 December 2026.
*Varied hours and fixed term periods.

Classification: 

Salary $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  1. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:

  1. Holds or is currently working towards post graduate qualifications in clinical teaching, learning and/or education
  2. Drivers Licence required

Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
