The Role

Manage the meal distribution and café of the Food Services Department, ensuring the service operates efficiently and effectively within, guidelines and procedures of the Royal Hobart Hospital.

Provide leadership, motivation, direction and training ensuring the highest quality service is delivered to patients, visitors and staff.

  • Responsible for the daily activities and ongoing planning, coordination and support of all staff and material resources in the meal distribution and café, including processing time sheets and pay related queries, identifying vacancies, providing supervision and training, rostering and staff performance reviews in accordance with relevant legislation and codes of practice
  • Maintain and monitor the cash handling process and procedures in accordance with the internal audit office directions.
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring correct quality and quantity of meals is available for each day’s meal service within the nutrition guidelines and a high standard of food and delivery services is maintained at all times.

Details of Appointment

Fixed term full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 19 November 2026.

Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant

Classification: General Stream, Band 4

Salary $81,915 - $94,263 per annum + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
