The Role
The Registered Nurse - Clinical Facilitator (Clinical Facilitator) Medical Ward, NWRH applies nursing expertise and contemporary teaching and learning practice to facilitate the learning of students and novice or beginning nurses.
- Actively teaches and supervises the clinical practice of nursing students and staff and guides safe, quality and evidence-based nursing care. Conducts assessment of competence within the nursing discipline under the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) Standards for Practice and engages in quality feedback to advance knowledge and performance.
- Works collaboratively with the education team and clinical units to operationalise the unit education plan and support formal education programs.
- Models commitment to the values of the nursing profession, including open communication to build respectful relationships across the multidisciplinary team, accountability, integrity, and contribution to positive workplace culture.
- Works in accordance with the strategic direction of the Department and the Departments Nursing and Midwifery Strategic Framework

Details of Appointment
Multiple fixed term, full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 21 June 2026 until 19 December 2026.
Please note that hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant
Classification:
Salary $102,439 - $109,175 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455 - $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
- Progressing towards Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or relevant post graduate qualifications.
- More than 4-years’ experience as a registered nurse.
- Experience as a preceptor of student nurses
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
