About The Opportunity

Programmed Property Services are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our commercial paint sales team in Melbourne, VIC. Based in Notting Hill, this key leadership position will be responsible for managing our team of Business Development Managers (BDMs) and driving sales performance across our branches in VIC. You'll play a pivotal role in nurturing strong relationships with our existing customer base while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to fuel our continued growth.

With a diverse and dynamic client portfolio, this role offers the chance to work across multiple locations while building meaningful connections and delivering tailored solutions.

Nature of position: Full-Time

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Reporting line: Regional Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and develop a team of BDMs across the region
  • Drive strategies to meet and exceed branch and state-level targets
  • Nurture and strengthen relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and marketing to deliver excellent customer outcomes
  • Proactively identify and convert new business opportunities.
  • Utilize your sound sales history, particularly in trades and services, to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to potential customers.
  • Prepare accurate sales estimates and develop professional proposals that showcase our offerings.
  • Leverage your previous experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to effectively manage customer interactions, track sales activities, and maintain accurate records.

 About you

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have a proven track record in sales for the commercial paint or trades/services industry, a “can-do’ attitude and be driven to deliver exceptional results.  Additionally, you will demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Strong people management and coaching skills.
  • Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets.
  • A proactive, strategic approach to business development.
  • Strong ability to estimate and develop professional-looking proposals.
  • Experience working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated region.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
