About The Opportunity

Programmed’s Property Services department is seeking a hands-on Painter to join our small close-knit team based in Launceston. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business known for providing exceptional painting services to various clients across Australia. In this role, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership to the team and providing the timely preparation and painting of nominated customer sites to a high quality.

This is a Full-time position working Monday to Friday, with the option for Overtime hours on the weekend.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply paints, sealers, and solvents to the exterior and interior building surfaces such as plaster, sheetrock, concrete and wood
  • Prepare painting surfaces for painting by scraping, filling in the cracks and removing old paint
  • Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Oversee staff and ensure teams are on track to complete each project
  • Develop and maintain rapport with clients providing them with timely and accurate updates  

 

About You

To join our team, you will be an experienced Painter who has previously worked in a domestic or commercial environment with a passion for providing quality work and a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you will have:

  • Trade qualification in painting and decorating (Desirable)
  • EWP ticket (Desirable)
  • Current driver’s license
  • Current satisfactory national police check
  • Working with Children Check  (Desirable)
  • Demonstrate a professional approach in the workplace
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Execute work that is of a high standard
