About The Opportunity
Programmed Electrical Technologies department currently has a great opportunity for Communications Leading Hand to join our team in Beard, ACT. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career and lead a team that provides communications installation on various customer sites. Working on predominantly government, defence and construction projects, you will be responsible for leading our team while installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced communication systems.
Nature of position: Full-Time
Location: Beard, ACT
Key Responsibilities
- Fibre optic & copper cabling installation, termination and fit-offs.
- Communications rack set up and installations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and system upgrades to enhance performance.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their communication needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Document all installation, maintenance, and repair activities accurately and comprehensively.
- Adhere to industry standards and safety regulations in all tasks.
About You
To join our team, you must hold an open registration cabling license, possess a passion for providing quality work, and demonstrate a strong commitment to the safety of yourself and others. Additionally, you should have:
- Certificate III in telecommunications (desirable)
- Experience in defence or commercial and industrial projects
- Defence clearance (beneficial)
- Current driver's license
- A professional approach to the workplace
- Ability to execute high-standard work
- A strong commitment to and understanding of quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems.
