About The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Contracts Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality maintenance services for two key clients in the bulk water supply and wastewater sectors across South-East Queensland.
Based in Spring Hill, QLD, this permanent full-time role oversees a diverse portfolio including grounds maintenance, HVAC, pest control, sanitary services, and cleaning. You’ll be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving service innovation, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Beyond day-to-day operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in identifying growth opportunities, expanding our utilities portfolio, and contributing to the long-term success of our business in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end contract delivery for maintenance services.
- Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring compliance with service level agreements, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact to ensure satisfaction, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Drive organic growth within existing accounts by identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand service offerings and enhance value.
- Support strategic expansion of the utilities portfolio by contributing to business development initiatives and tender responses.
- Oversee financial performance of the contract, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance management.
- Ensure operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, risk management, and adherence to quality standards.
- Contribute to sector planning and account planning processes, and support the execution of strategic initiatives that align with client and business objectives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including procurement, safety, finance, and HR to support contract success.
About You
You are a commercially astute and people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. With a strong foundation in facilities management or a similar operational environment, you bring a proactive approach to contract delivery, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. Your ability to manage subcontractor performance while building trusted relationships with clients sets you apart.
You will also have:
- Proven experience in facilities or asset management, ideally within complex, multi-service environments.
- Exposure to or understanding of the water and wastewater services industry; highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractor performance, compliance, and service delivery across diverse maintenance categories.
- Strong client relationship management skills, with a focus on service excellence and account growth.
- Experience overseeing financial performance of contracts, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- A track record of leading teams, coaching for performance, and fostering a culture of accountability and safety.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal.
- A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to identify and act on opportunities for operational and commercial enhancement.
