Programmed Facility Management is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at Sunrise Dam, supporting maintenance across village and site facilities.
Working on an 8:6 FIFO roster out of Perth, this role offers the opportunity to join a stable, well-structured maintenance team, delivering essential services in a remote FIFO environment.

The Opportunity
As a Carpenter, you’ll be responsible for delivering maintenance and minor works across village and facilities, including accommodation, amenities, and common areas.
This role involves a mix of reactive maintenance and small installation or repair work, ensuring all facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
You’ll work as part of a small, collaborative maintenance team under the Maintenance Supervisor, contributing to the overall quality and presentation of site infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry maintenance and repair work across village and facilities
- Carry out reactive maintenance and minor installation works
- Install and repair doors, cabinetry, frameworks, flooring, and fixtures
- Maintain facilities across accommodation, amenities, and common areas
- Ensure all work is completed in line with safety and compliance standards
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
- Identify and report defects, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to meet operational requirements
About You
You’re a qualified Carpenter with experience in maintenance environments, ideally within FIFO or remote operations.
You take pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and are comfortable working across a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Certificate III in Carpentry & Joinery (or equivalent)
- Previous FIFO or remote site experience (required)
- Experience in facilities, building maintenance, or similar environments
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship standards
- Ability to manage a range of maintenance tasks
- A proactive, team-focused approach
Requirements
- Full Australian working rights
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
- Current National Police Check (valid within the last 3 months)
Desirable:
- Working at Heights
- Confined Space
- First Aid
- Forklift Licence (HRWL – LF)
- Locksmith experience
- Experience in FIFO village or facilities maintenance environments
Location Requirement:
Candidates must be Perth-based (or able to commute to Perth for flights) or reside in Kalgoorlie.
