What does the job look like?

Our BevChain site at Laverton is a fast-paced, multi-customer operation supporting major clients including Coles Liquor, Lion, Campari etc. We’re currently seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor – PM to lead afternoon and evening transport operations and support the continued growth of this complex site.

Reporting to the Transport Manager, the Transport Supervisor – PM is responsible for the day-to-day transport operations, with a strong focus on afternoon dispatch, next-day planning, safety, compliance and people leadership. This role plays a critical part in ensuring fleet utilisation, service delivery and operational continuity across a multi-customer transport environment. Key Areas:

• Lead and supervise afternoon and PM transport operations
• Manage dispatch execution and planning for the following day
• Ensure effective utilisation of company fleet and subcontractors
• Monitor and respond to operational disruptions such as breakdowns, delays and absenteeism
• Oversee driver performance, providing coaching and support where required
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility (COR), fatigue management, mass and axle limits
• Maintain and analyse transport KPIs, implementing action plans where required
• Support safety leadership, toolbox talks and compliance reporting

Are you the one?

You’re a confident and adaptable transport leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure. You bring a strong safety mindset and a practical, hands-on approach to operations. You can demonstrate:

• Experience in transport or logistics operations, preferably within FMCG or multi-customer environments
• Proven people leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of transport compliance and safety requirements
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond quickly to change
• Working knowledge of Excel and transport systems (training provided)
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or similar (desirable)
• Exposure to COR, NHVR and Victorian transport legislation
