Responsibilities
Supporting the Head of School and representing the School at various forums, this position will be responsible for the following:
- Promote Excellence in Research and Leadership within the Monash School of Nursing and Midwifery (MNM)
- Mentoring and guiding novice academics and students in their academic and professional journeys, nurturing their growth and development
- Leading ground-breaking research, publishing scholarly articles in reputable nursing and midwifery journals
- Collaborating on interdisciplinary research to advance healthcare knowledge and practice
- Providing expert guidance in the development of nursing and midwifery research proposals and grant applications
- Participating in faculty meetings, committees, and fulfilling assigned administrative duties
- Engaging in continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of nursing and midwifery education and practice
- Contribute to academic and administrative leadership within the Faculty by participating in the development of policy and strategy
Your Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in Nursing or Midwifery (Ph.D., or equivalent)
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Proven track record of excellence in teaching, research, and clinical practice
- Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills
- Active involvement in professional organizations and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience in curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies would be advantageous
