The Opportunity

Turning Point is seeking a dynamic Research Operations Manager to lead and optimise our research administration and governance that underpins high-impact work in addiction and mental health. This role is central to the strategic and day-to-day delivery of research management, overseeing everything from grant development and compliance to contract coordination and post-award processes. It plays a key role in improving governance and operational efficiency while supporting research teams to deliver work that drives real-world change.

At the heart of the role is financial oversight of the research portfolio—leading budget development, tracking expenditure, building financial models and preparing reports that inform key decisions and mitigate risk. The role also contributes to coordinated research planning and prepares reporting for funders, collaborators and institutional leaders. With a clear focus on enhancing performance and strengthening systems, this position connects big-picture strategy with the detail of high-quality service delivery.

This role calls for a sharp operational mind with proven experience in managing complex research or administrative environments. A postgraduate qualification or equivalent expertise is essential, along with deep knowledge of research governance, financial management and team leadership.

The Research Operations Manager is a vital link between ideas and impact—if you're ready to help shape the future of research at Turning Point, we’d love to hear from you.
