Your Impact
This role is an exciting opportunity to represent some of Australia’s most loved beverage brands across the southern Tasmanian market. As a Business Development Executive (BDE), you’ll manage a key territory — responsible for growing sales, expanding distribution, and strengthening brand visibility across Away From Home (AFH) customers.
You’ll work closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager and collaborate with a small, close-knit team to deliver exceptional execution standards and drive commercial growth across your customer base.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage a portfolio of customers across national, retail state, and P&C channels (excluding corporate grocery).
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within your territory, negotiating contracts in line with business KPIs.
- Execute the OTG game plan and deliver against sales, execution, and ROI targets.
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships, understanding key drivers to maximise commercial outcomes.
- Collaborate with Regional Sales and Growth teams to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers and transition to Territory Managers.
- Maintain accurate call data and pipeline management through Salesforce.
- Contribute to Asahi’s strong safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement culture.
About You
- Proven sales experience within FMCG or a related customer-focused industry.
- Alternatively, strong grocery retail management experience (Coles/Woolworths) with a desire to move into field sales.
- Confident communicator with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Results-driven, organised, and self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Competent with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (Salesforce experience advantageous).
- Strong cultural fit — collaborative, energetic, and motivated to contribute to a small and supportive Tasmanian team.
The Territory
- Covers Hobart and surrounding areas including Brighton, Signet, and potentially Swansea.
- Compact and achievable geography — no overnight travel required.
- Monday–Friday role with dedicated time for new business growth built into the journey plan.
