Your Impact:

Asahi Beverages is seeking a Head of Disruption to join our Innovation and Disruption Growth team, reporting to the General Manager, Innovation and Disruption. This role leads the development, validation and launch of new ventures beyond the core beverage business and plays a critical part in shaping how Asahi prepares for future shifts in consumer behaviour, technology and emerging business models.

You will lead the strategic development of disruptive innovation, identifying strategic commercial opportunities, validating them with rigour and guiding ventures from concept to launch. The role requires a balance of entrepreneurial thinking and disciplined execution, the ability to build strong external partnerships and the capability to operate with autonomy beyond traditional governance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and evolve the Asahi Beverages Disruption strategy and develop a prioritised pipeline of new venture opportunities
• Identify new opportunities through insights, consumer and customer trends, technology changes and start-up ecosystem signals
• Validate opportunities through structured test and learn, commercial assessment and proof of concept while ensuring risk and compliance requirements are met
• Build and manage an external partner ecosystem including start-ups, SMEs, universities and tech hubs
• Oversee ventures from initial sign off through to launch, collaborating with cross functional teams and global stakeholders
• Prepare funding plans and secure resources for venture development and MVP builds
• Lead and develop a small, high performing team and embed agile, lean start up and two speed innovation ways of working within a corporate environment

About You:

• Tertiary qualified in Business, Technology or a related discipline, with at least 8 years’ experience across innovation and commercial leadership
• Strong commercial background with experience designing or scaling new businesses, products or venture models within a corporate environment
• Proven ability to identify, evaluate and deliver new growth opportunities end to end, from concept through to validation and launch
• Strong technical expertise in agile methodology such as design thinking, lean start up and proof of concept experimentation.
• Experience in leveraging emerging digital or technology trends, strong working knowledge of digital platforms.
• Proven leader in building high-performing, lean teams and embedding a start-up mindset to drive innovation within corporate environments.
• Ability to partner effectively with external innovators including start-ups, SMEs and accelerators
• Exceptional communication and influencing capability, engaging confidently with senior leaders and global boards
• Highly organised, strategic and comfortable operating autonomously in ambiguous environments while managing multiple priorities at speed
