Boral in SA is currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our workshop team based at Linwood. This role will be a nightshift-based role reporting to the Team Leader/Supervisor. You will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including planned maintenance, minimising production downtime and maximising the plant efficiency.

Your day will involve:

  • Work safely in line with OH&S procedures and legislation.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in the continual improvement.
  • Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock.
  • Fault find, modify and maintain crushing, screening and batching equipment across various plants.
  • Strip and rebuild components to the original specifications and performance.
  • Complete documentation to ensure plant data remains current.
  • Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort.

What we are looking for:

  • Relevant fitter trade qualifications
  • Experience with crushing & screening equipment preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems.
  • Motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and driven to succeed
  • Works in a professional manner with a “Can do” attitude.
