Unique opportunity for a driven Maintenance Supervisor to join our high-performing team on a permanent basis, overseeing the day-to-day performance of both the Hall and Mugga quarry businesses in ACT. Reporting to and supporting both Quarry Managers, this dynamic and diverse role will contribute to key areas of the quarries, including safety, environment, quality control, and performance.
You’ll play a crucial role in optimising plant and equipment performance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and adherence to Boral's OH&S, Environmental, and Quality Standards.
Your day will involve:
- Lead by example to foster a Zero Harm safety culture across all sites and teams.
- Promote Boral’s safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to ensure daily maintenance plans are executed efficiently.
- Oversee contractor performance and ensure compliance with Boral’s requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work and ensure high-quality maintenance standards.
- Oversee and execute the preventative maintenance program for all fixed and mobile equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules with operational demands to meet production targets.
What are we looking for?
- Degree, Diploma, or Trade Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Boilermaking (preferred).
- Experience in quarrying, mining, or materials handling is essential.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong background in crushing and screening equipment and heavy mobile equipment is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong planning and scheduling abilities.
