An opportunity exists for a Team Leader to lead and support the services and facilities of the Boral Limestone Mine at Marulan. The main focus of this position is to be accountable for the coordination and performance of the day-to-day operation of the facility and support production.

You will play an important role in driving the work quality of your team to deliver business objectives adhering to Boral's safety policies. This role may also see you have site responsibility after hours.

Reporting to the Production Manager, your day will involve:

  • Day to day supervision and management of employees.
  • Manage site services including sewage, waste, drainage, roads, walkways, gardens, sumps & sumps pumps, in an environmentally responsible manner.
  • Carry out ATW Plant Controller role and maintains site responsibility after hours as the senior site representative.
  • Responsible and accountable for the management of contractors including with respect to safety, efficiency and quality of work.
  • Manages/co-ordinates quarry blasting team and quarry blasting operations.
  • Work in conjunction with the production and engineering teams to support daily operations.
  • Ensuring teams have the skills, training and resources to do their job effectively.
  • Manage workforce planning and employee rosters for the team.

What we are looking for:

  • Must have completed Certificate IV in extractive industries, Manufacturing, Competitive Systems or similar relevant course.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead/supervise a team on a day to day basis.
  • Skilled in the efficient allocation of work and follow through to ensure assigned tasks are completed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills obtained via formal training and/or vocational development.
  • Ability to lead team meetings and compile communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with all people, and to lead and influence people.
  • High level of attention to detail.
