As the expert link between Sales, Pricing and IT/Technology teams, the Salesforce Systems Business Partner is focused on maximising the value of Boral’s Salesforce CRM and CPQ platforms. This key role is responsible for driving platform adoption, continuous improvement and robust governance that enables accurate pricing decisions, streamlined quoting and a high-quality experience for our customers and internal stakeholders. This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.
Your day will involve:
- Salesforce CRM administration, training and functional enhancements: Setting up new sales staff in Salesforce, training of sales staff, Salesforce portfolio change administration, building and enhancing Salesforce dashboards and reporting, functional enhancements such as field and workflow changes which don’t require IT development
- CPQ enhancement & continuous improvement: collaborate directly with IT to prioritise, scope and deliver pipeline of CPQ improvements, ensuring CPQ continues to evolve in line with business needs.
- Price approval framework governance: as the owner of all design and maintenance of price approval workflows and governance frameworks within CPQ, ensure pricing decisions are escalated appropriately, consistently applied and compliant with internal controls.
- Sales, pricing & IT interface: as the translator between sales teams, pricing team and technical stakeholders, ensure that business requirements are accurately captured and that system changes are fit for purpose from a sales and pricing perspective.
- Salesforce CPQ SME: provide day-to-day guidance to the sales team on CPQ usage, troubleshooting and best practice; reducing friction in the quoting and pricing process.
- Price validator SME: participate in the Price Validator EPMO project which is tasked with gaining the right price on the invoice the first time, thereby reducing downstream administrative efforts.
What are we looking for?
- 3+ years’ experience in Salesforce CRM administration, including hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ or a similar Configure, Price, Quote platform
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements from sales and pricing teams into system configurations and actionable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot system and process issues
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across sales, pricing and IT functions
- Experience providing end-user support, including training delivery, user onboarding and day-to-day system guidance
- Salesforce Administrator Certification or Salesforce CPQ Specialist Certification is desirable but not essential
- Familiarity with pricing strategy, commercial analytics or revenue management processes is advantageous
- Experience working in an Agile environment or collaborating with IT development teams on system enhancements and project delivery is beneficial.
