Are you ready for a challenge?  Are you looking to work for one of Australia’s historical brands? The Boral Asphalt Asset Management team is embarking on an exciting journey and is seeking a responsible and organised individual to join our team as an Apprentice Fitter in Whinstanes.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be interested in undertaking a career in asphalt plant maintenance and in completing a Fitter apprenticeship under the guidance of industry specialists.

No previous plant maintenance experience is required. If you have the right attitude and a willingness to learn, we'll provide on-the-job training, apprenticeship opportunities and a clear career pathway.

Your day will involve:

  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of mobile and fixed Asphalt plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Carry out field-based maintenance using a fully equipped mobile service vehicle.
  • Follow and promote safe work practices and contribute to a strong safety culture.
  • Work closely with Plant Supervisors to identify and address maintenance, safety and production issues.
  • Support the Asset Management team in improving plant reliability and performance.
  • Ensure Boral policies, standards and operational procedures are followed at all times.
  • Complete routine plant inspections and maintenance checklists.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop and work environment.
  • Participate in site safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste and lower costs.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, environmental responsibility and professional work standards.
