An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Sales & Estimating Manager to join our Asphalt business based in Seven Hills, NSW.

Reporting to the General Manager, this role is a critical member of the NSW Asphalt Leadership Team, providing strategic commercial leadership and contributing to the overall direction, growth, and success of the business. You will play a pivotal role in driving business growth across New South Wales, leading a high-performing team of Estimators and Key Account Managers while strengthening Boral's market position within the civil construction and infrastructure sectors.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and relationship management to secure major projects, maximise profitability, and deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers. Working closely with the broader leadership team, you will help shape business strategy, influence key decisions, and support the achievement of operational and financial objectives across the NSW Asphalt business.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Contributing as a key member of the NSW Asphalt Leadership Team, supporting strategic planning, business performance, and operational decision-making across the NSW business.
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen Boral's competitive position and secure new business
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and key decision-makers
  • Managing tender submissions, quotations, Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and contract negotiations
  • Overseeing tender reviews, contract risk assessments, and project post-audits
  • Ensuring the accuracy and quality of estimates and tender documentation
  • Working closely with Operations teams to leverage Boral's supply chain and operational capabilities
  • Managing pricing, product mix, project costs, and profit margins
  • Representing Boral at industry events, networking opportunities, and client meetings
  • Promoting and living Boral's values of Safety, Teamwork, Ambition, Accountability, and Respect

 

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience leading successful sales and estimating teams
  • Strong background in construction, infrastructure, asphalt, or civil contracting environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in estimating, tendering, contract negotiation, and project management
  • Excellent commercial and financial acumen with a focus on delivering profitable outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing risk and overseeing complex projects
  • Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and results driven
